We’re Jordan and Bailey VandenHeuvel, and we are so excited to begin serving here with you all. We both have roots here in Northeast Florida, and got married on August 10th of 2019 in Gainesville, FL! We have a passion for reaching the lost and hurting in this city, and we look forward to what God is going to do in the life of this amazing Church in the years to come.

Here are a couple of fun answers to questions to help you all get to know us a little bit better!

Who or what has been a great influence on your lives?

We have both had the opportunity to have great relationships with our parents, and they have been wonderful role models for both of us.

What is your favorite music?

Oh goodness, this will be a good one! My wife and I love listening to almost anything, though she prefers country while I am a little more of a rock n’ roll fan.

What is your favorite food?

We are both very big fans of food, and my wife makes easily my favorite food, which is egg-washed fried chicken and sweet potatoes. She is extremely partial to Chinese take-out, especially sweet-and-sour chicken!

What is your favorite movie or TV show?

There are too many good ones to even start on this! We love a good Disney movie, and she occasionally drags me into a chick flick or two.

What do you do in your spare time?

We are both avid workout enthusiasts, with one of my spare-time hobbies being Crossfit. If I ever look like I am in pain, it’s probably self-caused.

What is a little known fact about you?

We are not big fans of curry! As Ben found out once when we went to lunch, about the only thing that my wife and I don’t care too much for is curry.

What are you passionate about?

I am passionate that God has a plan and a purpose for all of us, and I get excited to think about how much God is doing here at Homeport Christian Church.

To quote John the Baptist in John 3:30, “He must be become greater, I must become less.”
