November 7th Weekly Highlights

Weekly Highlights

We are beginning our food collection for Thanksgiving. We have lists in the lobby and online of the non-perishable items we need to make a complete meal. Please donate what you can. Place the food items on the stage and we will make up the food bags on November 14th. Gamble Rogers has already given us info about 28 families who need a meal this year.

All women of Homeport are invited to join us on Saturday, Nov. 20th at 10AM for brunch and meeting. We will be finalizing details for our Dec. meeting where we reveal secret sisters, and enjoy an ornament exchange and fellowship. You don’t need to have a secret sister to come and enjoy some of the surprises.

Each year we take up a special offering in November as a way to say thank you to God for how He’s blessed us this year. Funds from this offering go to buy the turkeys for the Thanksgiving Meals we are collecting and other needs that come up during the holidays. This year we are partnering with Lifeline Christian Ministry and using some of these funds to purchase meals we’ll pack right here at Homeport that will go to people in need around the globe. You can mark your gift in the memo line of a check or give online.
