SIGN UP FOR SMALL GROUPS | AUGUST 21 – SEPTEMBER 4

Are you interesting in building close Christian relationships and growing closer to God? If the answer to that question is yes, then makre sure to sign up on your Connect Card and we’ll help you find a small group to be a part of this Fall. We’ll have the group leaders and hosts in the Lobby in the coming weeks for you to meet and the groups will start meeting the week of September 11.

MEN’S BREAKFAST | SEPTEMBER 10

Mark your calendars as we get ready to kicking off a new Men’s Breakfast that will meet on the 2nd Saturday of the month at 8am here at Homeport. Each month we’ll get together to help you get to know some other men in the church, grow in your faith, and find ways to serve in the church and around the community.

NEXT STEPS LUNCHEON | SEPTEMBER 11

Wondering what the next steps are to get involved at Homeport? Next Steps is an experience to help you find your place at Homeport. You’ll have the opportunity to learn more about us, how to get involved, and how to become a partner at Homeport. It’s also a great opportunity for us to get to know you too. We meet directly after the gathering on Sunday morning the 11th in the modular building.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY MEETING | SEPTEMBER 17

All Women of Homeport are invited to join us for our first meeting after our summer break. We will be discussing some of the events happening this Fall, upcoming mission’s requests, and having some fun while meeting. If you would like to stay and work with us on finishing the 15 of 30 stockings needed for our Angel Tree, we would love to have you. I think I can say for everyone, how much fun quilting has been this summer. Thank you Harriet.

MISSIONS COLLECTION IN THE LOBBY

God’s Kitchen: We’re collecting non-perishable items like canned vegetables, rice, potatoes, pasta, etc.

Missions Spotlight

Faith Promise Sunday

In years past, Homeport has supported our Missionaries by sending 10% of our weekly giving. As we sought the Lord’s guidance and direction regarding our missions giving, we felt the draw to change our missions support to a different model. Faith Promise offers all of us an opportunity to trust the Lord. It’s a chance to step out in faith and give above what we give through our tithes and offerings.

On Sunday, November 20th we are hosting our first Faith Promise rally and ask that you begin to prayerfully consider how you will participate in stepping out in faith to support our missionaries the work they are doing around the globe.
