FALL FEST VOLUNTEER MEETING | OCTOBER 10

Plan to stay immediately after the gathering for a short Fall Fest Volunteer meeting. We have multiple positions that need to be staffed and we can use your help. Sign up sheets will be available in the lobby.

FALL FEST | OCTOBER 24 – 2PM-5PM

Fall Fest is a great opportunity to invite your neighbors and friends to an event at Homeport. Again this year we’ll have a Trunk orTreat, Costume contest, outdoor games, cakewalk (all things festival). We need lots of volunteers to help make this a great event, sign up sheet are in the Lobby.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY MEETING | OCTOBER 16 – 10AM

All women of Homeport are invited to attend here at the church as we discusse the calendar for the rest of this year and winter/spring of 2022. Bring a breakfast/brunch item to share. Please call the church office (904-797-8921) if you have any questions.

THANKSGIVING FOOD COLLECTION | OCTOBER 10 – NOVEMBER 14

We are beginning our food collection for Thanksgiving. We have lists in the lobby of the non-perishable items we need to make a complete meal. Please donate what you can. Place the food items on the stage and we will make up the food bags on November 14th. Gamble Rogers has already given us info about 28 families who need a meal this year.

MEN’S RETREAT AT NORTH FLORIDA CHRISTIAN CAMP | NOVEMBER 5-6

This years this is “Get off the sideline and get into the Game”. Plan to come and get away for a Friday evening and Saturday. Unplug, relax, fellowship, and come expecting God to move this weekend. Lake activities, and the shooting range will be open. Open to men ages 18+. Registration is $65 and you can register online at http://nfcsc.org/event/mens-retreat/.

Johnson University Florida provides a quality, affordable Christian education for those who desire to impact their world for Christ with degrees in Bible and theology, ministry leadership, teacher education, intercultural studies, counseling, nonprofit management, business, music and worship, and preaching. They committed to high academic standards and a close-knit family environment in the context of a culturally diverse community.

This year’s student body numbers 54 freshmen and 94 retuning students for a total of 148 students enrolled for the 2021-2022 academic year.

Ways You Can Pray For Johnson University:
-For their Faculty and a smooth academic year as the faculty return to face to face learning.

-The incoming freshmen as they navigate college life. Pray they will keep the course and continue to graduation in 4 short years.

-The seniors as they prepare to leave the campus in 9 months! Please pray they will have an opportunity to serve in churches and other places to shine for Christ.
